The Bar Exam is generally given the last full week of February and July. Each jurisdiction has its own registration requirements. In most jurisdictions, the bar exam consists of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), Multistate Performance Test (MPT), and Multistate Essay Examination. Additionally, the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPTE) must be taken in most instances, and that exam is usually taken separately. We provide general information on each jurisdiction, and encourage you to read the rules of admission for the jurisdiction in which you want to practice law.
